MyPlace is a rental living space for youth ages 16 through 21 who are aging out of foster care or can be placed in Independent Living.

We believe in the possibility of new futures and it starts with people like you.

Foster youth are among the most vulnerable in our community.

Every year, 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness in the United States.*

Approximately 50% of youth who are in foster care will instantly become homeless within 18 months of aging out of the system.**

Statistically, foster youth are most vulnerable to: 

  • Become homeless

  • Dropping out of school

  • Substance dependency and abuse

  • Human trafficking

  • Not earning a college degree

  • Suffering from PTSD and mental health

Our Mission

MyPlace’s mission is to reduce the vulnerability for exploitation by offering safe housing and holistic support services to youth and young adults in the Greater Jackson area with a preference to those in vulnerable circumstances. 

What we do:

We provide numerous services to residents including but not limited to:

  • case management

  • emotional support

  • optional programming

  • mentorship

  • transportation

  • a safe home with all basic necessities included
